Fonseca, M.G. & Santos, F.A.M. 2005. Regeneration of three commercial tree species in managed and conventionally logged forests in Eastern Amazon. Annual Meeting of The Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation (Frontiers in Tropical Biology and Conservation) p. 166.

We compared the density and size structure of juveniles of Lecythis lurida, Chrysophyllum lucentifolium subsp. pachycarpum, and Pseudopiptadenia psilostachya, three commercial tree species, among forests submitted to planned and unplanned logging 10 years ago and a control area. Data was collected in 5.25 ha of transects. The regeneration pattern varied among areas and species, which stress the need of management practices that takes autocological differences of commercial species into account.
