Simeão de Souza Moraes
Desenvolvo estudos na área de taxonomia, sistemática e evolução de Lepidoptera, com ênfase em morfologia e polimorfismo nas famílias de mariposa Castniidae, Erebidae (Arctiinae, Arctiini, Pericopina) e Geometridae.

Formada em Ciências Biológicas pela Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP – USP) (2006). Mestre em Zoologia (2009) e Doutor em Zoologia (2014) pela USP. Atualmente desenvolve sua pesquisa de pós-doutorado no LABBOR.

I’m a biologist graduated from the Faculdade de Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP – USP), master and doctor degree from the Instituto de Biociências da Universidade de São Paulo (IB-USP). I devenlop projects in systematics, taxonomy and evolution of Lepidoptera, with emphasis on morphology and polymorphism in the families Castniidae and Erebidae (Arctiinae, Arctiini, Pericopina). Currently I am a postoctoral fellow at Universidade de Campinas with a project granted by FAPESP that investigates the morphological and molecular diversity of the genus Eois (Geometridae) as a subsidy for coevolution studies with Piperaceae.
